Thursday 3 August
Every two years, Eversholt Cricket Club host The Lashings - an invitational side, made up of former Test players that tour the country every summer raising vast amounts of money for a number of charities. Every two years we pitch up - have a smashing afternoon in the sun, and go home refreshed, well fed and happy. Today is that day! Eversholt is a lovely little ground. BBC commentator Henry 'Blowers' Blowfeld, who will do a stint of match commentary today (My dear Old Thing), always says it is one of the prettiest grounds in the country, and we are sure to have a very good day. If you can make it to the village pop down - it is a fun afternoon. At Fences Farm all is well - all of our horses are now back in their stables - Stuart has just left Wolf Of Windlesham out for a few more weeks - he needs a long rest and Domesday Book. We have shares in a couple of horses available - please have a look on the For Sale Page for further details of those - and we are also actively on the hunt for our Juvenile Hurdler for the 2017/18 season. We have a target in Germany that we are following closely, and we are also keeping a close eye on the 3 yr olds running over here. Please get in touch if you are interested in joining a new Partnership with a juvenile hurdler this winter. They are instant fun, and a good way of having a good chance of a Cheltenham Festival runner! nickbrownracing@gmail.com
