Wednesday 16 August
Another bright and sunny morning at Fences Farm yesterday, and good that Claire finally made it to see her horses after a couple of aborted efforts! Second Lot we saw Molly Childers do two canters along with Clondaw Native, Classic Ben, Theclockisticking and Maria's Benefit.
Third Lot we saw Land League swing along with Kayla, Cloonacool cantered - non the worse for his tummy ache at the weekend. Pull Together went out for a walk, and looks great, as does Queenohearts. After a cup of tea, we nipped over to The Elms to pick up Sumu, who is back in for another chunk of education. He is a cracking 2 yr old (by Mamool), who's dam was a black type winner from the immediate family of the Philip Hobbs trained Sternrubin, who coincidentally was a winner in Ffos Las yesterday! Sumu will do plenty in this stint at fences Farm and will be cantering before he heads back out to his field later this autumn. We think he could well be just the type for a 3 yr old career, so to break his education up - he is in now - he will still be at Fences Farm next month, and will parade at the Open Day. We won't be adding to the ranks from the sales this week, instead waiting for something later this year. Back over to Fences Farm tomorrow with Paul Wells who is in to see his horses! All go - all fun!!
