Tuesday 28 November

Tuesday is ratings day - and the first chance to see what the handicapper thought of last weeks performances. Sneaking Budge is dropped 3lbs to 109 - he will be out again in mid December. Land League has been dropped 4lbs to 114 over fences and 1lb to 119. LL will be out again in around 2 weeks - he will remain over fences. Molly Childers has been raised 14 to 123, for her 14 length success. She has options on the 9th, 16th and 23rd of December - with the 9th coming a shade soon after her last run, the 16th would look like the preferred option at the moment. Clondaw Native has been given an opening mark of 122, and Vinegar Hill has been raised 7lb for his win in Market Rasen last week. All in all it is just about as we expected, so no complaints. It was a damp morning at Fences Farm this morning, but good to see the horses in such good form. Theclockisticking and Charmagne ( Weatherby tomorrow) breezed first lot, and Land League wanted to go much faster than he was allowed to in behind. Molly Childers cantered and looked in fine form. Second Lot Pull Together schooled upsides Classic Ben - both are due to make their hurdling debuts this week, and both were electric over their obstacles. Twice now I have attempted to video PT schooling to send to his owners, and twice the phone has decided to decline my request to record, as it is too full!! No video, but I promise you he was very good! Cloonacool and Pine Warbler schooled over fences. Cloonacool loves his schooling and he really enjoyed himself. PW will is pencilled in to make his chasing debut this week in Towcester. They then went for a canter, where Maria's Benefit did her best to run away with Stuart - she is in great heart, and has Ludlow on Decmber 6th on her dance card. Kaloci had a canter this morning, and looked super. She is over her elbow injury, and it is good to see her back on the go. Having had a look at the programme book - Kaloci could well head back to Fakenham for a mares maiden hurdle on December 19th - she was so good around there in her bumper - it seems the sensible thing to do! Queenohearts is getting back to her best after her run - she put a great deal into that Chepstow effort, and has needed plenty of time and TLC since then. She is now cantering, and has targets at Towcester just before Christmas, and Uttoxeter around the New Year. Apasionado and Domesday Book both cantered this morning, and both are feeling very fresh and well!! Good to see them all so well, and we are all very much looking forward to the runners later this week - hopefully the good run of form for the yard can continue!
