Sunday 3 December
Classic Ben is declared to run in Fakenham tomorrow. Making his hurdling debut over 2m 4f, he faces just 3 rivals and should run well. The step up in trip should suit, and he has schooled well at home. We are all at a loss as to why he only faces 4 rivals tomorrow - Fakenham is a lovely little track, the executive are the nicest group of folks, who are always ready and willing with the warmest of welcomes. The facilities are super and the ground they produce is always excellent - why not more owners/trainers run their horses there I don't know - but this once I will not complain, as it has resulted in CB getting a nice small field introduction to hurdling. A good day at the yard yesterday - Hillcrest Fire and Maria's Benefit worked well together with an eyecatching Sneaking Budge in behind and Land League in rear. SB will have 2 entries in Uttoxeter on December 12th. Land League will certainly step up to 2m 4f next time. Queenohearts got the pleasure of carrying Stuart in her work yesterday and she went very well - even the trainer was impressed - Towcester just before Christmas is her first target. Molly Childers is really well, as is Pull Together who had a canter after his fall on Thursday.
