Thursday 8 February

Yesterday we were all dressed up, but ended up with nowhere to go. Molly Childers was due to travel to Ludlow, and Kaloci was to make the trip east to Fakenham. Sadly neither left home with Ludlow falling foul to frost, and Fakenham getting 5cm of snow! Thankfully there is an option for Molly in Towcester next Wednesday, and Kaloci had a back up entry in Plumpton on Monday - so she will go there! With four declared from the yard today, it looked likely that at least one of them would have to stay at home due to a meeting being called off - but all four get to go. We are heading to Towcester with Pull Together. He likes the track, likes the ground, and the drop back to 2m is a big plus - he should run well. Theclockisticking heads to Huntingdon for the Listed Sidney Banks Memorial hurdle. A step up in trip for him, and he has good track form. Hopefully the ground will not be too testing for him. Also in Huntingdon is Blackbird who is due to make her racecourse debut in the bumper. A lovely homebred mare, she will learn today what it has all been about up until now! Clondaw Native heads north to Doncaster where again the step up in trip should suit. Good luck to everyone, and a safe home to all the horses!!
