Thursday 1 March

A cracking night last night, when a few of us converged on London fr a night of beer and banter in the company of the infamous Leicester Front Row known as the ABC Club! The weather was a little off for London, promoting one of our party to look out of the Pub window, see the sideways snow blowing into the faces of the commuters heading for the station, and asking - Are we in Moscow?? It looked that way. Thanks as always to last nights table host Mat - I hope Paul didn't miss his taxi from the station - it would have been a long cold walk!! At least we were all out in it to enjoy ourselves - the staff at Fences Farm had to work in it this morning, and it was far from easy - but even in the harshest of conditions they still went about their business with a smile on their faces - and even managed a sing song! It was a good effort from Steve and Mark who were making their first visit to the yard this morning. It was a cold tour around the place to meet the horses - but hopefully we will see them again in the future. No racing this weekend - Kaloci has an entry in Catterick next Wednesday, and Pull Together has an additional entry in Fontwell on the same day as Doncaster is already off, and Lingfield on Monday will be lucky to survive. Molly Childers' next target will be Market Rasen on the 11th if they do not reschedule the Listed race, which looks very unlikely.
