After the Listed bumper win for Queenohearts a couple of weeks ago, we head off for another 'big'Saturday - with a 'small' mare. The tiny Kaloci heads off to the Grade 2 Mares Novices' Hurdle Final in Newbury today. Kaloci has been nothing short of amazing. She is a tiny wee thing, but won on her debut for us, and then gained valuable black type when finishing third in a Listed Bumper in Huntingdon. Her hurdling debut was a success in Leicester, and she has tried to give over a stone to the winners of her last 2 races in finishing second. Today she steps into Grade 2 company, but it is a handicap, and we feel that the step up to 2m 4f on this big galloping track could suit her really well. Overnight rain is welcome, and if she could finish in the first 4 we would have to be delighted with her!! We have been really busy recently, and plenty of shares have been sold. Chandos Belle is now sold out - and just 3 of the original 12 shares remain in new girl Getaway Mixie, who only arrived last week!- she is a lovely mare, and Stuart really likes her - have a look at her on the For Sale page, and get in touch (nickbrownracing@gmail.com) - she could have a date in Cheltenham next month - a quick way to get into the Cheltenham paddock!! With Kaloci running in the big race in Newbury today - the shares in her half sister have been proving very popular - and they are selling fast. This un named 4 yr old filly by Arcadio, is now the full sister to a good bumper winner in Ireland earlier this week, so she certainly has the pedigree for the job. She is outstanding value - at just £540 per share, with no training/keep fees until July 1st!!
