A week away in Doncaster where we failed to find suitable horses for new syndicates and clients - but we have added to the team! Before we headed off 'up North', we completed the purchase of Go Millie Go - a gorgeous 5 yr old mare, that has come form the Irish Point To Point field. Go Millie Go is a lovely looking daughter of Milan, who is out of a half sister to Time For Rupert. She didn't manage to win her maiden point, but has some really good pieces of form to her name. She ran really well to be third on her debut last spring, when her trainer, Colin Bowe says she was just a big weak filly. She then ran on ground that was very quick before heading off for a summer break. She returned with a very good run in the autumn, where she fell at the last when going to finish a very close third. the winner went on to sell for £110,000, and the third mare finished a very close third in a decent bumper in Clonmel a couple of weeks ago. She then ran twice on extremely heavy ground which she couldn't handle, before running a very good race a couple of weeks ago on far better ground in Loughanmore to finish a close second. She has vetted clean, and is a really imposing mare, that we think is only just coming to herself in terms of her development and strength. She has a cracking pedigree and really ticked all the boxes. She will be at Fences Farm to view for the next week or so, before heading out to a few weeks at grass. She will start of her career under rules in a bumper in late summer. There are just 3 of the 6 shares left available, priced at £4,000 each, plus £400/month training/keep fee. Please get in touch - nickbrownracing@gmail.com or 07909 518902. We will have to watch our M's now! As we seem to have accumulated a Molly, a Millie, a Mixie - and Paul has a Maria! Lets hope Mixie and Millie can be as good as Maria and Molly. Talking of Molly - she is now rated 130, after being raised for standing in her box. Her form is rock solid, and she will be a very good mare over fences! Getaway Mixie will be back home the week after next - she is 95% along the road to a full recovery, and will enjoy a summer at grass. We saw a really pleasing UK debut from Lion Rouge in Huntingdon on Tuesday evening. He had been going really nicely at home, and definitely been schooling well! He had a superb introduction to life in the UK finishing second to a really nice horse. He has run to a pretty decent level, and looks capable of winning a maiden or novice hurdle in the near future. I have just a couple of shares left in him, so if you would like to get involved in him, and some instant fun and games then again, get in touch as soon as possible - Shares are £460 each plus just £25/week all inclusive training/keep fee. He will continue to run through the summer, after which we will take a view on his future in October/November. 07909 518902. Good to see that the horses are all well, with Earlshill winning for the Fences Farm team on Wednesday evening. His second win from starts since joining them! Congratulations to all of his connections. We will be heading off to the sales in Cheltenham next week, where we have a few orders in the book!
