LION ROUGE

Lion Rouge has been purchased from France to give his owners some fun through the summer. He arrived in April, and after a period settling in, Stuart got to work with him, and was instantly impressed with what we had found for him. Lion Rouge is a 4 yr old gelding by Rajsaman, a Stallion based in France that has already sired the winner of a French Derby in Brametot. His dam was a multiple flat winner who gained an RPR of 105, and his the half sister to a German 1000 Guineas winner. Lion Rouge is also half brother to Biladi who was placed in a Listed event on the flat earning an RPR of 102. As you can see he has a fantastic pedigree, and given the improvement that the Edmunds team can extract from the charges we have sent them - we fully expect this little horse to more than pay his way over the summer, and it was no great shock to see him run so well on his yard debut in Huntingdon - finishing 8 lengths second (staying on), to a very nice horse, that had won a bumper. He has proven ability, and looks up to winning very soon. There are just 25 shares available in Lion Rouge, with very few remaining. They are priced at £570, plus £25/week all inclusive training/keep fees. Lion Rouge will run through the summer, and we will assess his performances, and make a decision about his future in October, when, if we think there is more to come from him we will retain him for 2019, or if we think that we have had the best out of him he will be sold, and we will look for another horse to go and have some fun with over the winter.
