Go Millie Go looks like a top addition to the team. Purchased from the Irish Point To Point field she is a gorgeous mare, with solid form, from a top flight family. Go Millie Go had 6 starts in Irish Maiden Points, her debut as a 4 yr old was full of promise, finishing third, after which she was expected to run very well on her second start, only to be undone by a very fast surface. After a summer break, her third start last autumn was a super run, where she knuckled on landing after the last when coming to challenge for the lead. The winner of the race was sold for £110,000, and the third mare finished a close third in a decent looking bumper in Clonmel recently. Her next two runs were on very very heavy ground which was definitely not to her liking, and when she encountered better ground earlier in May, she ran a blinder to be second, the winner of that race now has form figures of 2,1 in bumpers in the UK. With such a good looking girl, with that sort of form we had to give her a closer look, and when we saw her pedigree, we had to make a play for her! Go Millie Go is by top sire Milan, out of a Presenting mare that is a half sister to top class horses Time For Rupert (RPR 168), Mahonia (RPR 138), and Bell Walks Day (RPR 111) among others. So this beautiful mare ticks all the boxes, and when you add into the mix the fact that she is only just maturing into herself, and gaining the strength needed - you realise that she is a very smart prospect for mares bumpers in the autumn. She will go into training with Stuart Edmunds, who has had her for a short time, and really likes what he has seen. She has a good mind, and is a natural athlete - and with his record with fillies, and all the attributes with this one - it should be a match made in heaven!!
