Monday 6 August

Just back from a few days in Norway, which like the UK is basking in unusually high temperatures. A great few days! Back at home today, and then up to Doncaster tomorrow for their August Sales on Wednesday. A mixed catalogue - I am not sure there is too much there to get excited about! Back with the horses we do have - the horses that came in a few weeks back are cantering, and Stuart reports them all to be fresh and well - this bunch were the first in, and will be the first to run as they all appreciate a sounder surface. The mud lovers, including Queenohearts, Kaloci and Pull Together will be back to their stables tomorrow, and will be shod and ridden later in the week. Go Millie Go had her form franked last week at the Galway Festival, but has spent the last couple of days in the vets after she was found to have embedded a blackthorn in her hock which became infected. She has had it removed, and it will not hold her up for long - Stuart is really pleased with her - he thinks she is a very very nice mare, with athleticism to match her looks!
