Molly Childers

Due to unforseen circumstances, a 1/8 share in the gorgeous Molly Childers has become available. It could not be at a more perfect time for the right person, as she is just about to start her chasing career. Molly Childers is a 6 yr old bay mare, who was purchased from the Irish pointing field as a 4 yr old. Her first season was spent in bumpers as we felt she had a great chance of gaining valuable black type in that sphere, but unfortunately she just missed out when getting squeezed up in the EBF Bumper in Sandown. She then went hurdling last season, starting over 2 miles, and running really well at that trip, finishing third both times before making her handicap debut over 2m 4f and winning in a canter. She went on to run some seriously good races, finishing fourth in Cheltenham, second in Kempton, and second in Uttoxeter on her last start in May - the form of which has worked out very very well. She is a smart mare - rated 132, she made her chasing debut in Bangor on Dee on October on October 11th where she jumped like an old handicapper, and finished a close second to a talented horse with chasing experience. She looks very capable of taking high rank in the mares side of the staying novice chase division.
