The Fences Farm operation continue to keep churning out the winners - Hepijue getting the hatrick up yesterday in Huntingdon. The yard are currently going at 27% winners to runners for the current season, with 3 winners from 11 runners in the last 14 days! Bearing in mind in that time a couple have run 'wrong at the weights' in Novice chases, and another was a close 5th in a fiercely competitive handicap hurdle, and you can see that just at the minute they are running out of their skins! With recent rain about, it whets the appetite for the soft ground horses, and Ciaran was in yesterday on his way to Huntingdon to school a few. He was particularly taken with Queenohearts, and is very much looking forward to her - she schooled up the baby fences yesterday, and was a real eyecatcher. QOH will have entries next month, and is likely to begin her hurdling career over more than the minimum of 2 miles, more likely 2m 2f - 2m 4f. Wherever she goes the ground will need to have plenty of give in it, as it seems to be a surface she relishes. Pull Together will make his chasing debut next month, and has schooled like a complete natural over the bigger obstacles. Classic Ben could go again as early as next week in Worcester, although there is a very suitable race for him in Sedgefield. He will have entries, and we will assess opposition, and ground before deciding where to go. He too schooled very well on Monday. Molly Childers has been allotted a chase rating of 130 after her debut in Bangor on Dee last week, where she jumped like an old hand. She will have entries again soon, and we will look at the programme book for her. Kaloci will soon be out again now that some rain has arrived - she loves the mud and will be on the go in November. San Seb has come out of his debut in good order, and has the option of going back to Huntingdon in a similar race to one he contested a couple of weeks ago, or heading to Carlisle where the stiff track should should suit better - a decision will be made nearer the time. Getaway Mixie is coming to the end of her recuperative period on the walker, and will be reassessed by the vet shortly. Hopefully she will get the all clear to resume her work - these niggles are very annoying, but they are part of racehorse ownership - which will teach you patience if nothing else! Lily's Arc is ready to run, and will make her debut in the next couple of weeks, she is just like her half sister Kaloci - a real little trier, and I am very much looking forward to seeing her on the track. She puts a smile on everyones face, and she is a real favourite at Fences Farm. Our Bubba is another who is very close to making his debut - this striking 4 yr old is a very impressive beast, and another I can't wait to see! His work at home has been eyecatching, and Stuart describes him as very nice. He has options in Chepstow and Southwell at the end of the month. He is one that would like a nice surface to start his rules career on. Land League continues to recuperate from surgery and is a perfect patient. Go Millie Go is a lovely mare, who like Mixie has had a short hold up - she had a spell of self harming! All is now well with her, and it was nice to see a mare that she would have beaten in her Irish Point run a nice race in a good mares bumper in Punchestown yesterday. Before she put herself on the easy list - Stuart thought very highly of GMG from what he had seen, and I think he thinks she has a nice future. Another one to very much look forward to is Figarella Borget who will be arriving from The Elms at the end of the month. FB is the 3/4 sister to the great Sprinter Sacre, and will have an educational few weeks at Fences Farm, before being prepared for a bumper debut in the spring. She is a lovely filly, that impressed when she was in being broken in in the spring. There is one leasehold share available in her if anyone is interested, at just £25/week. We do have shares for sale in a number of the horses mentioned above. Please have a look at what we have on offer on our FOR SALE Page, and get in touch if you have an interest in any of them.
