Tuesday 9 April

There were pencilled in plans for a few horses this week, but sadly those that could have been running will not be. After the vet did his rounds on Monday, they were found to be a bit under the weather, so plans have been scrapped. Classic Ben would have been entered in Ayr, but as it happens he would not have run anyway, as, despite running 6 times over fences this season, winning a £50,000 handicap in Sandown, he had not run in 2 weight for age races, and therefore would not have been qualified to take part. In fairness we would not have been alone in getting it wrong, as of the 23 entries 10 are not qualified - the conditions seem very prohibitive for a £100,000 chase, and surely need looking at. He was also unlikely to be entered as the ground looks like it will be pretty quick up there, and he was more likely to have an entry in Cheltenham next week, but his dirty scope rules him out of that, and he will head off on holiday until August. Pull Together would have run in Huntingdon on Thursday, but he too, had a mucky scope, but he has had a long break, and he will be got better, and will be running later this month. Molly Childers scoped clean, and is on course for Cheltenham next week. Queenohearts was scoped last week and is OK at the moment, she is still on track for Fairyhouse on Easter Sunday. Land League will be running in around 2 weeks. Figarella Borget is in good form, and Stuart has found a race for her on Easter Monday in Fakenham - another bumper, after which she is very likely to head off for a holiday, before coming back for a hurdle in late summer. Getaway Mixie is on box rest. Our Bubba is doing some exercise on the walker, ans San Seb is now at The Elms Stud continuing his recuperation. There has been a good take up of free shares in the 3 yr old winged love filly - to book your place in her syndicate just drop me an email, There is no capital cost, and monthly payments are fixed at £110/month, with nothing to pay until she comes in training later this year.
