Monday 15 April

Figarella Borget is very close to making her second racecourse start. She will have an entry in Fakenham on Easter Monday - in a Mares Maiden Bumper. This will be the second stage of her education, as she remains on the weak side, and will benefit hugely for a summer out at grass. This will be her final run this season, and she will head off to The Elms Stud when the weather is warm enough. She has already schooled over hurdles and the baby fences, and that part of her education is completed. Pull Together, who missed a possible engagement last week due to a slightly dirty scope, will have entries this weekend in Market Rasen, Huntingdon and Plumpton. Molly Childers worked well on Saturday, and will head to Cheltenham on Thursday. Queenohearts didn't scope 100% on Friday, and will not be heading out to Fairyhouse. She will head off on holiday, and be back next winter. Stuart and I will look at the programme book and decide a plan for her over the summer. Land League is in good form, and looked great on Saturday in the sun, he will be running again in 10-14 days, and will be dropping back to 2m. Classic Ben is another who is finished for the season, and heads off on holiday very soon. He will head off to The Elms as well, as I think getting him away from Fences Farm will benefit him a great deal, mentally. Our Bubba will remain on light duties on the walker for another couple of weeks, so that the vet can keep a close eye on the progress of the recovery from the injury that he sustained in Huntingdon. This lovely horse is highly regarded, and as he is a big lad, the time on the easy list may well stand him in good stead in the future. Getaway Mixie is now doing some controlled exercise on the walker, and is progressing nicely from her latest little set back.
