The next round of National Hunt store sales begins in Ireland next week, with the Goffs Landrover Sale in Kill in Co. Kildare. As many will know for the last couple of years we have been putting together EIS investment syndicates to run alongside our racing interests, and the Landrover Sale marks the start of our sales, with one horse leaving for Ireland later today. The horse that is going under the hammer next week is a gorgeous son of Great Pretender, who is out of a Robin Des Champs mare, which makes him bred along the same lines as the great Benie Des Diuex. We have a total of three horses selling this month with another two 3 yr olds heading to the Tattersalls Ireland Derby Sale. We are very excited with all three of them, and hopefully the market will remain buoyant and they will all sell well. This is the first draft from our first EIS scheme, and we have now set up further schemes, for which we have been busy buying more young stock, including a half brother to the Gold Cup Winner Sizing John, a couple by the very exciting sire Jukebox Jury, a gorgeous foal by Champion sire Kayf Tara, and a superb yearling by Adlerflug, who’s close relative was the winner of a Group 2 in Germany on Sunday. It has been a busy couple of weeks, with lots of enquiries about these schemes, and I seem to have been fielding calls and emails, and sending out details on a daily basis. On the Racing front, earlier this week I saw all of the horses that are turned for their summer holidays, and they all look like they are enjoying their summer. Some will return to training early next month including Molly Childers, Go Millie Go, Figarella Borget and Getaway Mixie. Others, including San Seb, Classic Ben And Queenohearts will not return until August. We have had a good take up in the options in shares in ‘Peggy’, the Winged Love 3 yr old filly that will be joining the ranks in October. She is a gorgeous girl, and very well related, being out of a black type winning, half sister to Grand National second, and Gold Cup fourth, Royal Auclair. Peggy is also a half sister to a black type performer in France. All in all, she looks like a cracking prospect, and only a few shares now remain. Just £25/week, with no capital costs and nothing to pay until October. Dear old Land League is the only one that we have in work at the moment, and he is progressing well after his wind op. He had a sore throat for a day or two, but is now going at full tilt again. Please get in touch if you would like to join any of our syndicates- 07909 518902 or email nickbrownracing@gmail.com
