Two reasons for todays title - Home - Firstly - Cricket arrived 'home' on Sunday - what a day of sporting drama! No scriptwriter could have come up with as many plots, sub plots and twists as we witnessed at Lords on Sunday. A superb World Cup Final - and for those that enjot tennis - an equally enthralling battle just across the Capital city in SW19, where to giants of the game served up a feast in the Wimbledon Final. Add Lewis Hamiltons' victory in the British Grand Prix into the mix hand you have a Super Sunday! Home also applies to a number of horses that have arrived, or are arriving back in their stables today - including Maria's Benefit, and new girl Airghead Suas. Both have summered very well, and have let down nicely, giving the team at Fences Farm 'something to work on'. Of our team we will have 4 still out in the field - Queenohearts, Classic Ben and San Seb will all return in early August - with Our Bubba coming back in September. Those that have already arrived - Molly Childers, Go Millie Go, Getaway Mixie and Figarella Borget have all settled into their routines very well, and have started trotting. Land League was scoped this morning to confirm he is fit and well ahead of his next entry in Southwell next week. Our investment syndicates are proving popular, with a couple of meetings held over the weekend with interested parties. Another horse bought for one of the syndicates arrived at The Elms late last week - a 'typically French' yearling by Coastal Path - he is a tall rangy individual at this stage, but he will develop and fill out into a lovely 3 yr old. He has a superb pedigree, being out of a half sister to the Welsh Grand National winner Raz de Maree - he should be weel received when he come to market. The search for further stock continues - with JD in France later this week, where he will be looking at foals and yearlings on a number of stud farms across the country.
