Land League seems to have come out of his very good run in Market Rasen on Sunday in good order. The important thing about Sundays run was to test him again at 2m 4f - so that we got a good read as to his ideal trip - after his previous run in Southwell it had looked like he needed a step up in trip - but there were other possible factors at play, so we needed to test the intermediate trip one more time. on Sunday he answered all the questions - he does need a step up in trip, and he will need further work on his breathing over the winter. To finish second, picking up good prize money in the process constituted a good day! Weighing it all up - now is definitely the time to snap up one of the available shares in Land League - both Racing TV and the Racing Post have him down as a big eyecatcher - saying his next win is surely just around the corner - there are just a couple of shares available - 1/12 share is just £500 + £200/month. Please get in touch if you would like to come and see this gorgeous big horse, who will run right through until the back end of the year before having that wind op - which you don't even have to pay for!! He will step up in trip for his next run - and will surely go very close to winning - he looks like he is back to his best after being brought on steadily after an injury lay off!! We missed out on adding to the ranks yesterday - I had identified a 3 yr old colt in a claimer in Vichy in France - he looked just the type to make a juvenile hurdler for the autumn/winter, but sadly I couldn't get it done - although the fact that he won does suggest we were definitely on the right one! The quest continues! Another share taken in Blue Bikini yesterday - she is a very exciting prospect, and I can't wait to see her back at Edmunds' to start her career in October. She is a close relative to one of the brightest novice hurdle prospects for the upcoming season in Blue Sari, so I am sure there is a lot of fun to be had with her - she was in work in the spring, and everyone was very excited about her so get in touch to book your place - Just £25/week all inclusive fee, with no capital cost, and nothing to pay until October. The hope is that she will prove as good as the likes of Queenohearts, Molly Childers, and Maria's Benefit who all had super seasons in bumpers, and all ran in the biggest of heats in that sphere!! 07909 518902 for a chat if you prefer. We have also sold a share in the gorgeous Go Millie Go - but have a couple left. She is also very exciting as but for a last fence fall, she would have been a close second to Daylight Katie in an Irish Point To Point, and that mare was second in a Grade 3 bumper in the Punchestown Festival in May - she missed last season after a series of niggly little injuries, but she is back in and cantering now, and everyone is very happy with her.
