Yauthym

We are very excited by this young lady! Yauthym is a 3 yr old filly I have been following through the summer whilst she has been running on the flat in France. She had 11 runs through the spring and summer, placing 7 times, including at tracks such as Chantilly, proving that she is a consistent, sound filly. There is so much to like about this girl. She is by Authorized, the sire of Tiger Roll, and Nichols Canyon. He is also the sire of Surin, a filly that was the winner of the Grade 3 hurdle in Naas at the start of November, and Goshen, who looked a very bright prospect for the Gary Moore team when bolting up in Fontwell at the weekend. Not only is Yauthym by a very good sire, she is also from a very good family. Her dam was winner on the flat, and the half sister to 2 black type winners over hurdles in the UK and Ireland. Not only is the dam related to black type winners, she has also bred them as well. New girl Yauthym is the half sister to French Listed flat winner Landym, and also - and this is what is very exciting - she is also the half sister to Early Doors - a Cheltenham Festival winner this year - and tipped in many circles for future Festival success in 2020. So our latest purchase has a nice level of form in the book, she hails from a superb family, and is also good looking girl. She stands 15.3hh, and has the most athletic walk. She arrived in the UK last week, and the girls at the yard where she is currently in isolation for a few days report her to be a very sweet natured girl.As you can see there is plenty to suggest that this filly can really make her mark over hurdles this winter, after a very short break. In a departure for our usual practice we are spreading our wings, and having had all of our horses trained at Fences Farm for 20 years, it is time to branch out - and Yauthym will go into training with Fergal O'Brien near Cheltenham. Fergal and his partner Sally head a fun, young team, that, with a recent move almost under their belt, have really hit the ground running form their new base near Andoversford. They are in superb form, with 76% of their horses running to form, and a 21% strike rate for the season. To those that follow Fergal on social media, he will need no introduction, as his twitter feed is one of the most entertaining in racing. Fergal and his team get excellent results, and really get the best out of their horses, while making the whole experience for owners fun - and we are very much looking forward to working with them all going forward. Yauthym will be aimed at fillys juvenile hurdles for the rest of the season, in which, in my opinion, she will have no trouble winning. I have already had an awful lot of interest in this filly, and of the 7 shares that will be made available, 5 have been taken - leaving just 2 remaining. Each 1/7 share is priced at £2600 + £350/month. These remaining 2 shares are unlikely to be around for long - so please get in touch if you are interested. 07909 518902 or email nickbrownracing@gmail.com
