KAPGARDE X MA COUNCHA

Lots to like about this - a new syndicate, with a gorgeous filly, from a fabulous French family, with a tremendous step, to be trained by one of the countries leading trainers Fergal O'Brien. Let's start with the filly. She is by top French sire Kapgarde, who has been at the top of the lists in France for many years - and is best known in this country for his dual King George winning son Clan Des Obeaux. He has a host of other top class horse as well, including Cheltenham Festival, and Grade 1 winner A Plus Tard in Ireland. To have secured a daughter of his is very exciting. Her dam was a winner over jumps in France, and has also bred a winner under that code over there as well. She also has a highly regraded 6 yr old in Ireland with Tony Martin. The dam is a half sister to a black type performer, who is also the dam of one of the best horses seen in France in the last few years - the Grade 1 winning Beaumec De Houelle - who won five of his six starts, and has now embarked on a stallion career in France, and from what I hear his foals have been very well received this spring, and he looks to have a bright future in that sphere. This filly has everything, she stands over 16.0hh, has size, scope, and a terrific step, this allied with her top class pedigree highlighted above, and you can see why I am so pleased to have her. She has been broken in, and will have a short spell of R&R before going into pre training, probably with former top jockey Jason Maguire, and after that head into training with Fergal. Fergal O'Briens yard, just outside Cheltenham is the most up and coming yard in the country - the newly built yard and facilities are simply superb, and the welcome from Ferg, Sally and the team, is always very warm. It is a great spot to see your horse train - and if you like cakes - there are always a few of those on offer as well. Allied with the welcoming atmosphere is a set of eye watering results - the yard are currently going at a 27% winners to runners percentage - so not only are they a joy to have horses with - they really do get results!! There are a total of 25 shareholders in the filly, who has been leased for 2 seasons. There is no capital outlay, although the filly will be insured at our expense, this is covered in the weekly/monthly fee, which is set at an all inclusive £25/week (£110/month). Less than 5 shares remain, so act fast!!
