Friday 4 September

I think that is some sort of record! Fully subscribed 25 strong partnership in just a couple of days - with a waiting list - just in case anyone drops out before it all gets rolling. We only buttoned up the deal to have the lovely daughter of Kapgarde on Monday - started to offer shares on Tuesday, and by Thursday afternoon she was fully subscribed. They always say it is better to leave your audience wanting more - but it's not nice when three people miss out by literally seconds - but they are all on a reserve list - and have also said that they would be very keen to get in on the action when we start syndicating our next horse. The syndicate that are involved in the Kapgarde filly are a lovely mixture of existing clients - many from the Figarella Borget group, and new faces, who we look forward to meeting up with very soon. We wish them the best of luck with their new filly - she really is a beauty, and will hopefully go on to show plenty of ability on the track. She will head to Jason Maguires to begin pre training next week, and head to Fergal O'Briens, Ravenswell Farm when Jason thinks she is ready to step up her work. One that will be leaving Jasons Ivy Lodge Farm next week will be San Seb - he has been in work there since the middle of July, taking advantage of the deep sand 2 furlong round gallop there, along with the equine spa facility that is on site. San Seb suffered a set back 18 months ago, and he didn't stand up to training last season - so this time around his owners have rolled the dice and tried something different, combining his pre training on a deep sand surface, with daily sessions in the spa to help keep him in one piece. Yesterday Jason took him down the road to Tom Georges for an 'away day' bit of fun, and he looked and moved really well. He strode on nicely, and is ready to move into training - he heads to Fergals Ravenswell Farm. Fingers crossed his wheels stay on, as he looks like a smart horse if he stays in one piece. Figarella Borget left for Ireland early this morning, and Land League is declared to run on Sunday in Fontwell. He will contest the 2m5f handicap chase on their idiosyncratic figure if eight track. LL prefers to go right handed - so he will get his wish for half the race anyway! In seriousness, there isn't a suitable race right handed until the end of the month, so we hope to be able to run on Sunday, and then head to Huntingdon for that. It's been a busy week - we had planned to announce plans for our next syndicate this week - but we will leave you all in suspense - stay tuned for that in the next few days!
