23rd August

Dry at last. And a really good morning at Fences Farm. Important Business went to the vets on Thursday and had a couple of injections in his back and seems to be a lot better this morning, he is having a few days off after the proceedure, but will be ridden again from Monday onwards.Karen Barber was in to see Matty who went very well well first lot, and it's full steam ahead for Hereford As well as Mrs Robesons horses run at Uttoxeter, they do the exact opposite at Hereford, and usually run below par, it is not her favourite course, but the race is perfect for our chap and I would be hopeful of a good run if the ground is quick.Bobby Gee looks fantastic and continues to do his road work. Tom Short was in this morning to see Rousing Rob do his canters, and he did them well, he looks very well at the moment and those that have ridden him say that he has improved since earlier in the year. Kevin and Jo Hornby were in to see Kikos as well, having read the reports of his schooling on the site they were keen to come and see it for real, and they were not disappointed!! He is fantastic! Attacking his fences with all the enthusiasm of a seasoned handicapper, he has real scope, and looks as though he will really excel at the discipline. Things are hotting up, Roll on October!!
