30th August
A busy morning with plenty of owners about to see their horses. First lot saw a few cantering, Important Business looks very much back on song and went well with Troglodyte, Ogee and College Ace. His recent visit to the vets seems to have done the trick, and we should see him back on the track in the next few weeks. Second lot, and Bob Graham was in to see his horse Rousing Rob who did one easy canter. Alan Gibson and Nick Walton missed their boy IB go early, but along with Ann,Colin and Alan Garratt who are also in the Racing Club got to see their other horse Kikos go very well, he will be gradually going quicker and quicker from now and is another who will be ready for the end of September. Colin and Ann were also able to see their horse Mattaking do a really good bit of work ahead of his intended race on Wednesday. Stuart then hot-footed it to Sandown where Mrs Robesons' Papa Meilland was running in a decent nursery, he finished a gallant seventh, and looks as if he will improve for a step up in trip.
