Matty seems to have come out of his race in good form, and now if all stays well with him he should go to Uttoxeter on 21 September, that is of course if we are not all under 2 feet of water by then!! If the weather is kind to us and we get some decent ground on that day he should have a companion to go with, as Important Business, who is absolutely popping out of his skin at the moment, could be entered on the same card. I had the pleasure of seeing IB school over 6 flights of hurdles on Wednesday morning, and he was fabulous, he attcked his obstacles with real relish, and thoroughly enjoyed his time in the jumps field. He was so good and fast infact, that I failed to get a photo of him - the only shot I got featured his tail disappearing out of the frame!! Sam Jones was in yesterday to school a few - having had a moan about the weather, it has to be said that it does have advantages - at least the horses can be schooled on the grass as it really is perfect jumping ground under foot, which is a luxury not often enjoyed in August and early September. Sam had a jump on Kikos, who he had schooled at Alan Kings, and was very very pleased with him. It looks a busy day tomorrow, with plenty of owners up to see their horses so there should be a really good atmosphere in the yard as we all can't wait to get going in the new season!!
