Some pretty disappointing sales returns from Tattersalls yesterday, it seems that the crisis in the financial markets is having an impact on what is going on at the sales, which in turn will have a huge impact on the studs and breeders. Let us hope for their sake that this crunch will not last too much longer, or there will be longer faces in yearling paddocks than there are in the square mile! At home all is well, Bobby Gee has stepped up his work once again, and will be cantering again in the next couple of days, he is so eager to get on and please that he has been acting the complete fool while getting over his muscle tear, so he will enjoy doing a bit more. Important Business is flying, and it is good to have Rousing Rob back sound and being ridden, at the moment he is showing no ill effects from the nasty scare he gave us last week. Mattaking has an entry at Plumpton next Monday, but again it will be 50:50 as to wether he gets in or not. Kikos is still in fine form, and will hopefully be ready to go at Uttoxeter on the 31st, it will be interesting to see how I'm The Decider (who was second in the race at Market Rasen in which Kikos fell when surely going to win) runs at Uttoxeter today.
