Saturday 1 November
A very chilly morning, but it was a good one at Fences Farm.First lot Mattaking and Ogee both breezed well, and are in good form for their engagements at Huntingdon tomorrow. Matty is making his chasing debut, he has schooled well at home and hopefully he will go well tomorrow (if he feels like it)! Ogee is in a competitive hurdle, but will enjoy the step back up in trip and should also run well. After breakfast,it was good to see Geoff Bridgford and he saw College Ace and Bobby Gee do a swinging piece and both moved well, Bobby will need about another 3 weeks and he should be ready for a run, very exciting for his new group of owners. Third lot and a good opportunity for Geoff to see E Major who the Chicheley Partnership have leased for the season while Rousing Rob recovers. E Major arrived in mid week and has already had a few sessions in the jumps field and seems a natural and willing little horse, judging by the bucks and fly kicks he was putting in he, certainly seems to enjoy the change of discipline and scenery!! Good news- Kikos seems fine after his run, he has had a day off, but trotted up sound this morning and then went out in the paddock and relaxed. There is not a scratch on him and he seems very pleased with himself after yesterdays run, he should be going one better shortly!
