Saturday 8 November
I know envy is a very bad thing, but one cannot look at the battalions that Paul Nicholls unleashes day after day and not be just the slightest bit jealous! 8 winners across the card yesterday is amazin - but it gives us all something to aim at!! A windy and damp morning at Fences Farm, but a good looking first lot saw Ogee, Kikos, Matty do a swinging piece very well, followed by Important Business and Bobby Gee doing a faster piece of work, and all went very well. Important Business was entered today for a 2m 5f Handicap at Cheltenham on Friday. Everything there would seem to be in his favour - left handed, decent ground (we hope), ideal trip having not stayed a stiff 3 miles last time, and a couple of grades lower than his last outing (when in fairness to him he had some good horses off the bridle turning in). So we hope the rains miss Celtenham, and we get some good ground! Bobby is nearly ready to run and may still get an entry for Cheltenham on Sunday, but his ultimate participation would depend on how he works on Tuesday.
