Wednesday 11 February
It looks as though the plans for the weekend are all in jeopardy,as the weather takes another turn for the worse. Heavy snow followed by 33mm of rain has left Wincanton waterlogged and they inspect today to see if racing has a chance, and the remaining fixtures for Saturday all carry some sort of doubt. At least the snow has gone at Fences Farm, (replaced with flood water) but Stuart thinks that he will be able to get the horses back on the gallop tomorrow, when he will be able to assess their fitness and decisions and plans can be made for the future. Good job too, as we are all beginning to get cabin fever with no racing to get us out and about.
