Tuesday 10 March

Congratulations to Liz Prowting, Mrs Robeson, Sam and all of the Fences Farm Team. College Ace was a wide margin winner at Stratford yesterday, giving his rivals a masterclass in jumping into the bargain!! Cruising to the front half way down the back he had his rivals toiling as they straightened up, and with his nearest rival falling at the last it was just a matter of cruising home for an easy victory. It looked like a competitive race, so confidence was not super high, hence no mention yesterday (sorry Phil) and it just goes to show that when you think you have a winner (Bobby) it goes wrong and they pop up unexpectedly like yesterday! Bobby is fine after his run, and will sport a pair of blinkers for his next run, which should be in about 3 weeks on a galloping left handed track. We should see a different horse! 3 entries for Saturday, Ogee should win the Novices Hurdle, but is also in the big handicap, and Kikos and Icterus both find themselves in competitive heats. Lets hope we don't get too much rain!
