Friday 10 April
Here we go again! After the recent spell of fantastic results from the yard we have had a couple of seconds now - and I hope they are not slipping back into the habit of finding just one too good again! I am sure that normal service will be resumed shortly. College was a very brave second yesterday - on ground that was nowhere near the good to firm they said it was (more good to soft) which would definitely not suit College. He ran his heart out to finish as well as he did, over a trip that was as far as he has ever run over before. He has risen back in the handicap to his highest ever mark, and seems to have run right to that, so it is encouraging, and probably means he has another race in him when he gets his best conditions. Bobby will be declared to run at Haydock tomorrow, but they will need to get a drop of rain, as it is still good to firm on the bends. It still seems to be all systems go for Heebie Jeebie,on Sunday and E Major on Monday. Have a lovely Easter - whatever you are doing, and let's hope that the three runners over the bank holiday weekend can pay for a few easter Eggs!
