Tuesday 28 April
It is looking as though E Major will wait until next week for his next outing. Having had a look at the races he is in on Friday (both quite hot) we are seriously thinking of waiting until next Wednesday evening and going to Huntingdon. I can nearly hear the sighs of relief from his owners at the thought of not having to battle around the M25 on a Friday evening!! He has decent form around Huntingdon, and it seems the sensible thing to do - it will also mean stepping him back to 2 miles, which having looked as though he did not quite get the 2 1/2miles at Fakenham last time may be a plus. Sitella failed to show any improvement at Towcester yesterday, and although a half sister to recent Southwell winner Daurica, she is not going to be a racehorse, and will now be found another job. She is good looking and very sweet, so she should go on to give someone a lot of fun in another discipline. Every year there are a number of horses that do not make the grade on the course, and all efforts are made by Mrs Robeson and her team to make sure they are found good homes and go on to enjoy life doing other things - this is a very important part of the job, and one that is not overlooked.
