Saturday 30 May

All happening at Fences Farm this morning. Contractors were in cutting the grass for the dairy herd over at Gallards, it was the perfect morning for the job, and with fine weather forecast for the next few days it should make some top class silage. Some of the grass at Fences is also cut to make haylage for the horses, and forms part of their diet for the winter months while they are in training. Jardin De Vienne, our new boy is now on his summer holidays, and is out with his new pals in the field. Today was the first time I have managed to see him since the sales, and he looked well. There are still a couple of shares available in him, so if interested give me a call, he will go on to the Horses For Sale page next week. A really good night at Towcester last night - with a massive 10,000 crowd (felt like a lot more) enjoying a perfect evening, with super 'cold lager' weather, and some exciting and dramatic racing. Good to get to our second Ladies Night of the week - and not a lot to chose between the ladies of Cambridgeshire on Tuesday and those of Northants last night - some good - some bad!!
