Everything changes - and everything stays the same! A new racecourse opens in Wales and A P McCoy rides a three timer!! It didn't take him long to get the drop of things down there. Back at Ascot a good field for the Gold Cup, but not one of them could dethrone Yeats. Ap and Yeats sum up everything that is great about racing - tough genuine competitiors who come back year after year and confirm their dominance of their particular field. Long may it continue as I think we would all like Yeats to come back next year and do it again. It seems as though the opening night at Ffos Las went very well - the jockeys say the track rode very well (Welsh Newbury) and the facilities for the horses are said to be very good. After all is said and done the horses are the backbone of the sport and some courses forget this, and their facilities behind the scenes are a shambles (you may have read about a few of them on here), and it is really good that a lot of thought has gone into the stables and stable staff facilities at the new track.I look forward to going down there.
