Apologies for the lack of recent news, it is not as if nothing has been happening!! If we go back a week - the Silver Patraich half brother to Bobby Gee came to Fences Farm and was broken in and ridden away. He was impeccably well behaved and was a joy to have around - all the girls really liked him and are looking forward to having him back in next year.He returned to Michael and Fiona Kehoes at the end of the week, primary school is over for him! The Mike Murphy yard continues to be in grand form, and Trempari was a winner at Lingfield in the week, well done to everyone at Westoning. On Wednesday Ogee went down to Lambourn to school on the all weather surface there. Jimmy did the steering and all went well, Jimmy was then up at Fences Farm on Friday to give him another go over the newly stuffed schooling fences and again he went very well.Ogee worked well on Saturday and is entered at Bangor on Friday in his first Chase. Icterus held an entry at Stratford on Saturday, but the ground was pretty quick, and it was decided not to risk him on it - there will be other days. It was a busy day at Fences on Saturday - really good to see Jay Tabb, who due to the International break this weekend was able to get along to see his boy Bobby Gee do 2 good canters. Jay is now at Reading, who after a rocky start are finding their feet and putting in some good performances. Also nice to see Nick Walton and Alan Gibson who watched Jardin De Vienne go really well under Sam, although he did well to keep the partnership intact at the bottom of the gallops, when JDV, who is obviously feeling in great, form put in a massive buck and SP Jones went airborne for a second or two. Rousing Rob continues to go really well, improving every week, although he is carrying plenty of condition at the moment, this will begin to come off over the next few weeks. Thats about the lot I will try to get to the computer on a more frequent basis I promise!!
