It is really beyond belief!! The Chicheley Partnership have been patiently waiting for months to have their first runner, and see Rousing Rob perform on the track - and he gets a ballot of 14 in a field of 52 entries. It basically means that 38 in the list of entries above him will have to come out, and with declarations usually being 50% of entries he is really only an even money shot to get a run. What bad luck - but we will all keep everything crossed and hope that we get to go. If we fail to get in, he will have entries going forward, including Huntingdon, Bangor and Uttoxeter. It will be a real shame not to go, as the reports are that he did a really good piece of work with Ogee yesterday, and Stuart, who rode him was very impressed! We could do with a little change of luck! I spoke to Sam last night, as he was going out to the cinema for a 'romantic' evening with his new lodger Ritchie Killoran - and although a little sore, he hopes to be back riding by the weekend, so good news on that front.
