What a shame about Galoshes yesterday! With no pace on, and the field dawdling Galoshes took a bit of a keen hold, he jumped the first three well, but going to the fourth Sam could see they were 'wrong' and tried to let him 'fiddle' it, which in fainess he did adequately, but then in a carbon copy of the incident with Bobby Gee at Market Rasen earlier in the season, Galoshes stumbled and as quick as a flash Sam found all his weight on one side, and he was unseated. A real shame, and an episode that Sam will not want to repeat for a while, connections obviously disappointed, but it seems as though all live to fight another day, and Galsohes may even take up his engagement at Warwick on Saturday, where Rock Wren also has an entry. Some good news for Partnership members yesterday - 'Brett The Vet' called in at Michael and Fionas' to see Mattaking and Important Business and was very pleased with them both. The injuries have healed very very well, and Ed was chuffed with them and has given us the go ahead to kick on with them. They will stay on the walker at Stewkley until March, when they will return to Fences Farm. There are still shares for sale or lease in these two so if you are interested, and fancy going jump racing in the summer with the sun on your back and a nice long drink in your hand then let me know. Both of these boys are easily capable of winning races on their favoured quicker ground (07909 518902).See the For Sale page for photos and further details.
