Monday 15 February
All of the weeks intened runners remain on course for their respective targets. Jardin De Vienne and Millarky at Leicester, Genny Wren and Grassfinch and Rock Wren at Fakenham (ground permitting) and Bobby Gee at Uttoxeter. Bobby will be entered forward as well just in case the weather intervenes, as there are races for him at Market Rasen and Huntingdon over the following few days. Galoshes seems fine after his third at Warwick on Saturday, a step back up in trip is on the cards. I had a good few hours over at Michael and Fionas on Saturday afternoon, to have a look at the horses there. Matty and Important Business look really well and are doing plenty on the walker ahead of their return to Fences Farm in a couple of weeks. 'Grey Bobby', the Silver Patriach half brother to Bobby Gee has grown and filled out, and really is a fine stamp of horse!!He will come back to Fences Farm later in the spring to continue his education for a few weeks (1 x 1/4 share left for sale, see for sale page). The Kayf Tara 2 yr old is coming along really well, and will also be going to Fences to be broken in and ridden away in the spring. The one I was really keen to see again was the Overbury yearling that I purchased last month, and I was very very pleased with what I saw. Michael had been saying how much he liked him, and I have to say I totally agree with him, he is a fabulous looking colt, and one I have very high hopes for. Usually if they look good they run good, so we have a lot to look forward to!!
