Tuesday 30 March
The going went for Genny Wren yesterday at Towcester, so she is likely to be heading off on holiday for a few weeks now. Unlike her mum and half brothers, she can be a bit of a fizzy little thing, and the time off to chill out a bit will do her the world of good they think. JDV's race at Plumpton on Sunday looks a weak affair, but I fear the ground will not come right for him, and Bobby's race looks competitive as usual, and the same applies there - I think it may be too soft for him, we are keen to give him a go on some better ground, so we will have to bury ourselves back in the programme book. Good news for one of his owners Jay Tabb, who was stretchered off while playing for Reading last week - he has only sprained his ankle, and should be fit again in the next week or two.We are off to a seminar tonight given by one of the world leading authorities on equine breathing operations - Geoff Lane. Mr Lane does a lot of the work on Paul Nichoills' inmates so it should be both interesting and informative.
