It looks like a blank weekend for our horses, with the ground at Plumpton going Heavy this morning it looks very unlikely that it will dry up enough for Jardin De Vienne to take his chance on Sunday.This is a real shame as he is in great form, and is given a squeek by Malcolm Heyhoe in The Weekender who rates him the main danger to his tip after his good second at Leicester. Although they have not updated the ground at Haydock, I can't imagine that it will be any better than Heavy with 35mm forecast before racing, so it looks as though Bobby Gee will be staying at home as well.A real shame as we are really keen to try him over the brush hurdles, and there is not another race over these obstacles for some time. The wet spell has put the mockers on College Ace's run at Wincanton tomorrow, with their ground waterlogged in places they are having an inspection at noon today. I hope it drys up soon - potato planting getting a bit behind schedule now, but I suppose we are all in the same boat, (and a slightly better boat than the folks in Northern Ireland and Scotland)!! Breathing op. Talk tonight - nearly a day early!!
