He has finally done it. A P McCoy, the greatest ever National Hunt Jockey has filled the glaring void that remained on his C.V, and won the Grand National. A great ride and a wonderful result for him and the whole of racing in general. I really hope he now gets the recognition he deserves and is at least nominated for The Sports Personality Of The Year. Ogee very unlucky on Friday, hampered by the horrific fall of Katachurian in front of him, he was stopped in his tracks and went from second to last in a flash, race over, but a valiant effort to get back into it and only be beaten 10 lengths. He is home safe and sound and will fight another day! Interesting market move yesterday morning - debutant Lureyno 33/1 into 10/1 in the morning, no idea where this came from - although a lovely horse who seems to have ability, he is very green, and was never thought of as a debut winner, so all in all a bit of a mystery!! A beautiful day out at Guilsborough Point to Point yesterday, where we saw Michael and Fiona Kehoes' Pocket Park complete the hat trick of wins in the Confined. A smashing young horse who is going through the ranks very nicely. Congratulations to all connected with him!!
