Tuesday 13 April

I don't want to tempt fate or indeed do anything that may result in an egg on face situation, but it seems as though we may have found ourselves a proper little chaser! Sam was up yesterday and schooled plenty, and the report back was that Important Business was a natural and 'almost born to the job'. Which all sounds very exciting! He could make his chase debut early next month - he is a horse we have always had a great deal of faith in, and hopefully the patience of his band of owners will be rewarded over the coming months. We wish a speedy recovery to Mark Bradburne who is due to have an operation on his back, after a nasty fall at Kelso on Sunday, Mark would have retained the ride on Jardin De Vienne next week, after they went so well at Leicester, so we will now use Sam - if he is not needed by his boss, JDV seems to be in the form of his life, and if his work on Saturday morning with Kikos is anythiong to go by he will run a big race next week. Mattaking is going very well and will soon be asked to go a bit quicker, and Bobby Gee is enjoying a few days out in the field in the sunshine.
