JDV is declared to run at Southwell tomorrow. He is in great form at home and on the good ground, that they are watering to maintain, we think he has got a major chance. We always think that Uttoxeter, where incidently Kikos is an intended runner on Thursday, is our lucky track, but a quick glance at the stats this morning show that the Robeson horses have a 36% strike rate at Southwell with 4 winners from 6 runners in the last 2 seasons. Even the stats point to a good run! No blog yesterday as we were at The Crucible Theatre, Sheffield, as guests of bookmakers Betfred. Thanks to Kevin for hosting us in their VIP lounge, and also many thanks to Paul for driving. It was a very enjoyable day, and great to see behind the scenes at the 'home of snooker'. The venue is a lot smaller than I had thought which adds to the atmosphere, which was severely tested during the first three frames of the Steve Davis - Mark King game last night, which was so slow it was the perfect cure for insomnia!! A drink in the lounge and an early exit ensued!!
