Thursday 29 April

A case of champers should be winging its way to the handicapper, as he has consented to drop Mattaking to 90, which means he will qualify for the race at Fakenham on Tuesday! Quite a shock, but at least it should give him a chance after such a long break! Matty has also been entered in 2 chases at Huntingdon on Wednesday, so we will work out his best option and go where he is more likely to win. Important Business is also entered in a hot looking Novices Chase at Huntingdon, and we will have to take look at the likely runners to determine if it is sensible to take on highly rated horses off if level weights. Jardin De Vienne schooled over fences this morning and was fine - he seems to show no ill effects from last weeks up-ending. 'Grey Bobby', the Silver Patriach half brother to Bobby Gee, is back at Fences Farm, and went out to exercise this morning, and they tell me he moves very nicely. The Kayf Tara 2yr old is also in to be broken, and she has been long reined up the drive and back, and they will just lay over her today as well, so the babies are coming along well.
