A story of sun, sand and sea, with some success, satisfaction, and a Sam slip up! The sun, sand and sea were with us on holiday. The success was Mattaking at Fakenham, satisfaction came by way of Important Business on his chase debut at Huntingdon, and the Sam slip up was his falling off of Kikos at Stratford. All in all not a bad 2 weeks! It was great to see Matty get his head in front again, and a super training performance to get him back so well after a 488 day absence. Thanks to the handicapper for dropping us 7lbs so we could get in the race, hopefully he can go in again (intersting to see that he has put him up the 7lbs he dropped him)!! Important Business ran a great race on his chase debut to finish third. A run full of promise, he has come out of it well and will run again towards the end of the month. I was expecting a big run from Kikos, but we were not to find out if he can win again of this mark as Sam and him parted company at the fourth - both live to fight another day! Jardin De Vienne declared to run tonight at Towcester, Brian Toomey takes off a very valuable 7 lbs, and if the track suits he should run a big race. It will be good to be back racing again!
