Jardin De Vienne was third at Towcester last night. He ran a sound enough race, probably did not quite see things out up the hill, but still gave us a run for our money, and seemed to finish the race sound and in fine fettle. There are no plans, we will look for a race in about 3 weeks, and see if we can't just nick one with this thoroughly lovely grey, who just has a little problem winning (he is probably not the bravest little soul in the world!) Kikos has a cut on the outside of a fore leg that will mean he will spend a week on the easy list, but he will be back on the go soon enough, and the plans are to go to Aintree on June 11. We are also considering a little trip to the Galway Festival with him, which will be a real thrill. I have never been, but friends that have say it is some of the best 'craic' you will ever have, and as that is what it is all about we may just look into an entry. Mattaking is entered at Fakenham on Sunday and looking at the entries he must take his chance. We feel he has had enough time after his comeback run to avoid the dreaded 'bounce factor' and he is working very very well at home. The step up to 3 miles plus looks to be in his favour and having won his last 2 races at the track it looks a good opportunity for the hat-trick!! Important Business has come out of his race well, and will probably be out again in a beginners chase at Uttoxeter on May 30.
