Matty was a disappointing fifth, in a weak race at Fakenham yesterday, Stuart and I were very happy with the ground, and felt that the ground staff at the track had done a fantastic job in some very tough circumstances. Matty was never travelling from the off, and could, or would not lay up with the front two which was the plan, he seemed to be looking after himself, and after racing basically on his own for the best part of 2 miles, he was eventually swallowed up by the chasing pack. He did pull up a little bit sore, and was examined by the racecourse vet. He was given some pain killers, and travelled home well, and was sound when he came off of the lorry. Hopefully it is just a knock, but I have to say that it looks like the same sort of injury that kept him off the track for so long last year. I have just heard from Stuart that he has walked out this morning and is definitely not 100% and our vet is coming in later this morning to have a look.Kikos is in great from, and will be aimed at Aintree on June 11. Important Business has been entered today for a beginners chase at Uttoxeter on Sunday.
