Jardin, on Saturday, told us what we had suspected since his last run at Towcester, ie. he really does not want to be a racehorse anymore, and for that reason we retired him immediately after his run. He has come home safe and sound, and will now be found a lovely home for someone to compete and look after, and this very special little horse will be just perfect for it! He has such a nice nature, and is good to box, clip, shoe, catch and hack out in company or alone, so he has all the qualities to lead a happy life away from racing. He would make the perfect girls eventer, so if anyone wants him, or knows someone that would like a beautiful grey, then give me a call (07909 518902).Daurica ran well, but is just too high in the handicap at present, but her participation went without hitch which is always a relief with this little madam! Good to see Martyn and Clare Fowkes at Fences Farm on Saturday morning, they had an early one as their horse Kikos worked at 7.30 to avoid the worst of the heat, but their early alarm was worth it as they saw Kikos do a fine solo piece of work.He was later entered for the race at Aintree on Friday evening. Important Business did a couple of canters and looks in great form.
