Friday 11 June
Tonight will be a late one! 7.40 race, hours of celebration (we hope) and a long drive home! As posted yesterday afternoon there are now only 4 runners in the race, and we are expecting a bold show. I am confident that Sam will get a great ride, and hopefully come back in front! On a line through the unfortunate Master Nimbus we have the beating of Quito De Tresor, I think they seem to be struggling with trip for Tanks For That, and the ground seems to be far too quick for Smack That, so we must have a good chance. A shame that the paper can't see it, but then again I suppose it means we get a bit of value!! We have all heard of cases of mis-diagnosis at the hospital - but spare a thought for Warren Marston who, after a crunching fall at Worcester last Saturday, was discharged from the local hospital when they failed to find anything wrong with him. Luckily Choc Thornton realised something was amiss and took him straight to Cheltenham hospital where he was found to have multiple fractures to an area of his spine between the T4 and T7 vertebra! He looks set to miss the bulk of the summer season, but best wishes to him for a speedy recovery.
