It was very nice to welcome two previous owners back into the fold yesterday. Steve Cook, an original member of The Tyringham Partnership in those heady days of Olney Lad is going to take a share in Omaruru, and Tom Short who has had several with us is going to come and have a look at Omaruru tomorrow with a view to joining the club. I hope that 'Ruey' can be a successful for them as 'The Lad' was, oddly he does have the same sort of profile as our old hero at the corresponding time of his career. After I posted the photo and details on the site yesterday the phone was quite busy and a fair few people secured their spots in the club, with plenty of people wanting to come and have a look at the horse. It was good to see Ann and Colin Garratt last night - both are still on cloud 999999 after their big win at Hickstead last weekend, it is certainly a day they will never ever forget, and just the reason we get involved with these beautiful animals in the first place. I think it will be a long time before either of them stop smiling!!
