A great morning on the gallops, and it made my day to see Bobby Gee do his first quicker piece of work of the Autumn. As mentioned I can't remember seeing him look so well, and he worked like he looks yesterday! Although it is a while since I have seen him work he seemed to really stretch his neck and move every muscle yesterday. The good news is that Rachael said he made no noises, so the op seems to have worked and I can't wait to see him back on the track in 3-4 weeks! Bobby was joined in his work by Kikos who is also in great form and looks like heading to Worcester in just under 3 weeks time. It was an early morning for David Morely, who returned from a polo event in Holland late Friday night, but was keen to see Robo,and was knocking on my door before 7.00 in the morning! David watched Robo do 2 canters first lot and very much liked what he saw, and has purchased a share in him. We wish him well with his first taste of ownership. I think he has chosen very wisely as Stuart rode him a couple of times last week and really liked him, he could have a very nice future in staying chases! It was nice to see Roy and Ann Mason after breakfast, they were accompanied by their daughter Jane and 2 of their grandchildren who had a lovely time giving Robo some fuss and plenty of polos! They were joined by Ollie who also popped in after breakfast for his last visit for a few weeks, and we all enjoyed seeing the Bobby and Kikos show from the top of the hill. Also out second lot were Grassfinch and Omaruru. Grassfinch worked really well upsides Omaruru who will come on bundles for his first piece of faster work since joining us. He has had an easy time since he arrived and has really filled out, but his work will now step up gradually.Ogee and Genny Wren were out third lot, and both went well. Plans for stable star Ogee are still being formulated but he could well head to Chepstow for the meeting that is the traditional curtain raiser for the National Hunt Season.
